Developing Entrepeneurial Mindsets

This workshop explores how enterprising mindsets are developed in the varying contexts of engineering education. Making use of the results of the ATN-funded, multi-sectorial project Interdisciplinary Project-Based WIL: Student-Centred Learning to Enhance Employability (Brewer et al. 2020), participants will be presented with key principles and stages for experiential entrepreneurial learning. This will be used be used to frame the workshop, facilitating the discussions design of interdisciplinary project based learning activities. Through interactive collaboration, participants will share examples of enterprising mindsets, graduate attributes, learning outcomes and leaning methods that enable the development of entrepreneurial mindsets in engineers, participants will be able to benchmark a variety of dimensions to consider in developing mindsets and take away a menu of options to apply in their context.
